Children and Youth

During our 10:30am service we have groups for children aged 3-14 and a creche for under 3s every Sunday except for the first Sunday of each month which is our All Age Worship service where everyone is welcome to join together.

Children are an important part of our church family and we want every child to know how much God loves them and our groups help nurture our children. We have a dedicated team of leaders who love working with our children.

The children go to their groups after worshipping together with the church family. We use material from Scripture Union for childrens' groups and Urban Saints for youth as teaching resources.

Under 3
Children in this group are cared for during the 10.30am service by a dedicated team of volunteers.  On All Age Worship Sundays (the first Sunday in the month) we encourage the children to stay in the service.  However, Creche facilities are available if needed but parents/carers will need to stay and supervise their children.

Age 3 to School Year 1.

Children in this group find out about Jesus in fun ways. They take part in the stories, sing songs and use craft to remind them of the story when they get home.

All Stars

School Years 2 and 3

Children in this group love to share what they already know about following Jesus and enjoy learning together through fun games, Bible stories, drama and craft.

School Years 4 to 6

Our Trailblazers enjoy meeting together and discovering how we can encounter God in every part of our lives. Their sessions are full of games, stories with drama and lively discussion. There is usually an opportunity for prayer and ministry.

Secondary school age

The vision of this group is to see the young people grow in faith and a personal knowledge of Jesus, to pray for each other and to relate their faith to the situations they face in everyday life. The sessions include games, quizzes, discussions and craft.

Children's Fellowship

After the 10.30 service there are games upstairs for those aged 8 and above. The children can choose from badminton, snooker, skittles or just socialise. This is supervised. Children under this age can get to know their friends better as they have a drink and a biscuit. We also have activities for these children to do such as board games and colouring while their parents have a coffee.
